Flooring
There is nothing more beautiful than a solid wood floor.
Many "wood" floors are simply laminates with a couple of milimeters of wood on a plywood base. We use 22mm (ex 1 inch) thick planks, which are far harder wearing and warmer.
Floors have to put up with a huge amount of wear and tear over the years. Solid oak flooring just gets better with age, with every knock adding to the charm, beauty and character.
